In his speech, Liu Yian said that integrated circuits are the foundation of industrial development, the heart of complete equipment and the guarantee of national security. Integrated circuit industry has become a key link leading a new round of scientific and technological revolution and industrial revolution, and an important driving force to promote high-quality development. In recent years, the municipal Party committee and the municipal government have attached great importance to the development of the integrated circuit industry, regarded it as one of the key landmark industries and one of the main attack directions of the "eight industrial chains" in Nanjing, implemented the high-level coordination and strong promotion of the "chain length system" led by the municipal leaders, and accelerated the extension of the chain to strengthen the chain.

At present, Nanjing has attracted nearly 500 integrated circuit enterprises upstream and downstream of the industrial chain, including TSMC, Huatian technology and Changjing, and has initially formed a closed loop of the whole industrial chain of chip design, wafer manufacturing, packaging testing and equipment materials. The development of the integrated circuit industry shows a good momentum of vigorous progress.
